 This position is based in Dickson, TN and will require up to 50% travel toJefferson City, TN,  Lake Charles, LA, and Haleyville, AL.

Environmental Health and Safety Specialist is a full-time position in which the person will assist in the The Environmental, Health & Safety, and (EHS) efforts to maintain compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and Masonite corporate EHS policies and guidelines.
The EHS Specialist will:

  • Develope effective working relationships with the safety committee, department managers, plant manager, and employees.
  • Communicate and coordinate EHS activities with other regions to share best practices.
  • Establish frequent communication with Corporate EHS personnel to report and discuss compliance at each facility in the region. 
  • Visit each facility in their region based on guidelines developed by the Corporate Safety Manger.
  • Conduct EHS audits at facilities to ensure compliance.
  • Play a key role in the leadership and assistance of EHS integration of newly acquired facilities.
  • Preparing and Submitting Environmental Regulatory Reports ( TRI, Tier II, Air, Storm Water, Waste)


Success in this position will be to achieve the following objectives:

  • Injury reduction
  • Worker Compensation Cost reduction
  • Compliance with governmental and company Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and policies
  • Compliance with Property Conservation guidelines
  • Compliance with environmental permit recordkeeping and reporting requirements




  • BS/BA in a related field (Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or Engineering)
  • Management with 7-10 years related EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, or proven experience deemed to equal or exceed formal education.
  • Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement preferred but not required.
