This position directs and coordinates all transportation activities related to Masonite-paid shipments by providing high service levels throughout the load lifecycle, on-time deliveries by our partner carriers, and service to our customers. This position will be responsible for being the face of and main transportation facilitator for Masonite International corporate logistics to our truckload partner carriers and our plant location shipping personnel in North America. The position will be responsible for covering for other Transportation Service Representatives.


  • The role will include, but not limited to,  sourcing truckload capacity, requesting and organizing spot quotes, load tracking and tracing, manipulating information in the TMS, seeking information from carriers, responding to plant personnel, training new carrier representatives on use of the TMS, and working within the TMS to update, change, and resolve shipment and carrier issues.
  • This position must learn to operate efficiently and accurately in the company’s TMS, UltrashipTMS.
  • Be able to manage a high volume of email and phone calls and respond quickly to those requests.
  • Maintain TMS data integrity; accurate data entry, resolve errors, load updates, support rate and carrier management within the TMS and other administrative functions within the TMS.
  • Attend department and corporate meetings as required.
  • Facilitate resolution of scheduling and shipment conflicts between Masonite plants, vendors, carriers and customers. Answer questions from Masonite facilities and partner carriers.
  • Adhere to corporate SOP’s.
  • Manage and report on various, measurable data points in the TMS including, but not limited to: carrier tender rejections, late delivery and pick-up, late delivery reason codes, load updates from carriers, critical customer lists, and others as needed
  • C.ommunicate with the Load Center manager daily to escalate issues; loads requiring recovery, spot quote shipments, critical or urgent issues on shipments or facility needs.
  • Other added responsibilities as directed by the Load Center manager.



  • Associates degree; or 4 years post-high school work experience
  • Intermediate analytical skills/experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with a TMS on a daily basis.
  • Minimum 2 year logistics and/or transportation management.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.

  •               Intermediate skill level with MS Office; required Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate PC skills including spreadsheets, word-processing and database management.    
  • Must be results oriented, have a sense of urgency, driven to succeed, have excellent communication skills, and is self-motivated.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Strong prioritization, planning, and reporting competency.        
  • Be able to sit for long periods of time comfortably while being focused on a computer screen.
  • Work proficiently and professionally under stress and deadlines.
  • Act with integrity at all times
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
