Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule support to the maintenance group
  • Liaison between Maintenance, Production and all other departments 
  • Maintains work order files
  • Assists in scheduling all maintenance work
  • Collect, maintain and analyze data reports to identify problem areas and initiate solutions
  • Reviews all work orders for cause, priority, and completeness, determines tasks to be performed by each trade, and ensures all required parts are available to complete repairs
  • Uses MRP software to coordinate work orders through system, attaching materials, scheduling, and conducting follow ups
  • Develops and maintains historical records and standardizes repetitive maintenance in order to establish criteria for materials, tooling, and man-hour requirements
  • Assists Maintenance Supervisors in the development and application of statistical time standards for non-repetitive maintenance work
  • Develops and maintains backlog of records for each maintenance trade group
  • Prepares and analyzes maintenance reports such as maintenance spending, downtime, and scheduled versus emergency maintenance
  • Contacts vendors when appropriate in coordination with the storeroom.
  • Purchases non-storeroom items using MRP software
  • Tracks inventory for maintenance reporting
  • Processes invoices and purchase requisitions
  • Analyze exploded art drawings and schematics to determine spare parts as needed; set up and process repair contracts
  • Conduct monthly customer satisfaction audits
  • Participate and support MVantage Program
  • Develop and maintain “in-house” machinist made parts program complete with AutoCAD drawings
  • Manage mobile equipment fleet
  • Supports maintenance supervision on administrative matters as required. • Performs duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, prefer Associates degree in Maintenance or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • A strong commitment to safety is foremost
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, MRP software, etc.) or Maintenance management software experience preferred
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work effectively in a changing work environment, and the ability to deal with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, time management skills, and team-building skills are essential for success
