This role is an individual contributor that works alongside the Director of Operations (both reporting directly to VP Operations) and focuses on flow, interplant processes, configuration standardization, interplant process optimization, order aggregation processes coordinating with sales and product management to drive efficiency and value creation in cost to serve with customers, coordinating major Projects with CI Group, co-developing digital manufacturing tools, working with central supply to optimize inventory processes.

  1. Optimize operational processes, product specifications and material flow.
  2. Analyze operation processes to identify processes or activities which are impacting operational cost or capacity (e.g. identity customer service or slab construction specs that add incremental cost or reduce available capacity)
  3. Identify capacity constraints like machining or core routing and working with engineering and product line management to find solutions to improve productivity thus capacity.
  4. Responsible for developing best practices for the Divisions within supply chain, production control & scheduling, shipping & receiving, warehouse management, local/plant specific purchasing and inventory control.
  5. Establish and maintain the strategic and tactical planning vision for the Plants within the Division including the production scheduling process and development of the master production schedule. Develop best in class Plant MRP process to meet customer expectation at the most efficient cost to the business.
  6. Design and implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products. Developing tools to efficiently manage the material handling and material warehousing, receiving and storing; developing tools within ERP system to best identify material allocation and warehouse management control.
  7. Manage inventory strategy in conjunction with SIOP/central replenishment to analyze inventories to determine how to increases inventory turns, reduce waste, and/or optimize customer fill rates. Lead the coordination of physical inventories for the Division. Ensure cycle count process is followed according to operations strategy.
  8. Design and implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies. Developing, designing, and/or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems or products that will increase effectiveness of the network.
  9. Develop models that estimate the quantifiable characteristic of products, events and information within the operational supply chain – Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities and determining time, cost, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. Focus on maximizing the network efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Systems evaluation – identify measures or indicators of the supply chain system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  11. Identify and drive Operations Strategic Initiatives based upon data inputs from Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, CI.
  12. Evaluate capacity needs within the factories to determine proper network capacity

  • Bachelor of Science or MS degree in business, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
  • Advanced degree in business; MBA preferred
  • CPIM or industry certification within Supply Chain a plus.


  • 10+ years in a manufacturing leadership role with responsibility for process improvement projects across multiple facilities. Experience in managing multiple departments and functions in a fast paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of supply planning/execution concepts, manufacturing and material management function, and financial/cost account practices. Subject areas include transaction processing, demand/supply planning, deployment planning, production planning, detailed production scheduling, transportation planning, capacity planning, material requirements planning , inventory control, purchasing, order-to-cash process, shipping & receiving and warehouse management.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles invalided in strategic planning resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Six Sigma Lean GB certification highly desired or ability to obtain within 12months.

  • Skillful in dealing with all levels of customers, Bothe internal and external. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Change management leader: anticipates reactions of people to change I systems and business plans and plans accordingly. Recognizes own/teams reactions to change process; identifies early successes to maintain momentum; implements communication plan. Leads the functional team thought the deployment of the ERP solution.
  • Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing systems. Successful experience in Lean Sigma, Six Sigma, and Project Management
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access& MS Project
