  • Owns master production scheduling
  • Responsible for MRP in AX (settings, item setup, policies, etc)
  • Responsible for clear to build
  • Executes CTP on incoming sales orders to determine confirmed ship dates
  • Analyzes and recommends lead times, constraints, cause and effects
  • Analyzes, interprets, and coordinates equipment, material, capacity/constraints (including substitutions) to MRP schedule date demands
  • Understands and maintains capacity for (stat and express) expedited orders
  • Adjusts dates within shipping windows
  • Handles end to end production planning process – reviewing and firming planned production orders, reviewing and acting on exception messages to ensure proper dates and material availability, scheduling and printing/releasing to production floor.
  • Ensures that requirements for materials are communicated to purchasing
  • Provides feedback to customer service when dates do not align or changes are needed
  • Manages the change process (expediting or delaying orders)
  • Coordinates with production control and load planner on a daily basis
  • Escalates and seeks decisions on exceptions for shipment (dates/costs)
  • Owns on time and complete; proactively monitors plant capacity to ensure customer demands can be met; making recommendations to plant management of changes
  • Collaborates with business functional areas to implement work flow, process improvements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitors key productivity metrics to ensure schedules are released timely and any potential delays are identified and communicated to sales and operations as needed
  • Manages all transfer order requirements for material purchased between other Masonite site
  • Exercises solid judgment based upon data and experience
  • Is able to lead others (direct reports)
  • Prepares periodic or ad-hoc reports as necessary.
  • Provides periodic backup support for other (Prods/Ops) Scheduling & Inventory Planning department personnel within company guidelines and procedures.
  • Assists with physical inventories as required.
  • Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.





  • The successful candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Analytical and problem solving capabilities are essential.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts – including all pull systems and Kanban – a plus.
  • Production planning background in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and ability to leverage technology.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and query building is a plus.
  • Is able to balance between the customer needs and company objectives
  • Business degree in Operations, Planning and Scheduling or related field; plus 1 – 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in working with MRP in a manufacturing environment is required; Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Must be proficient in the use of fully integrated manufacturing systems, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

  • Candidate must have ability to effectively handle multiple tight timeline situations and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess a willingness to make autonomous decisions.
  • Makes recommendations based upon experience and system and processes
  • A high level of person integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) and strong attention to detail are necessary qualities.
  • Exceptional understanding of supply chain concepts and processes.
  • APICS CPIM certification - preferred
