      • Responsible for the benefit claim and payment data collection (from internal and external partners/vendor) and completes weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc analysis used for forecasting and planning. 
    • Data collection and analysis related the due diligence data for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as integration planning.
    • Responsible for audit vendor coordination, data collection and analysis related to plan audits.  Including, but not limited to: 5500 filings (Health & Welfare, Pension, 401(k) and Summary Annual Reports (SAR), SOX compliance, ACA, etc.)
    • Provides benefits feature comparisons and cost analysis as part of the collective bargaining process.
    • Completes data collection and analysis as it relates to discrimination testing for all benefit plans.  (e.g. 401(k) and health and welfare)
    • Serves as designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all benefits data, reporting, file feeds and is responsible for developing specifications, creating new and modifying existing files/reports and coordinating with HRIS for partnership and support and ensure accuracy and timely additions and changes to files/reporting.
    • Conducts analysis of benefits plans in Canada and Mexico for: union negotiations, plan renewals and updates, and policy and process development.
    • Participates in annual benefits design, open enrollment planning, communication development and implementation for US-based programs. 
    • Assists with implementation of new benefit plans.
    • Participates in and initiates surveys relative to benefits costs and design. 
    • Participates in the review and update of Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC), Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD), as well as internal benefits communications materials which may include developing content and managing communication projects for Benefit plans.
    • Captures and documents meeting minutes for Retirement Committee meetings.
    • Vendor management including service agreement enforcement and performance guarantees; builds and maintains relationships with providers.
    • Develops and maintains administrative procedures relative to the functions of this position
    • Is responsible for ensuring Masonite maintains compliance with federal and state regulations regarding benefits administration to include:  ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, HIPAA, ACA, SOX, HCR and others as applicable.   Remains abreast of changes in laws, regulations and court precedents affecting the administration of the benefit plans. 
    • Maintains detailed knowledge of Company’s benefit plans and processes necessary to administer those plans. 
    • Completes special projects and reports, as assigned, in an accurate and timely manner.  Interface with other groups in order to fulfill project requirements



      • Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
    • 5-8 years relevant experience
    • Must have knowledge in area of specialization (Retirement or Health & Welfare) which may include health & welfare plan design and funding methodologies, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, HIPAA and ACA or retirement plan design and funding (DC & DB)
    • Prior experience with ADP (including report writing) and Workday a plus
    • MUST have advanced level proficiency with MS Office Excel and PowerPoint to include the ability to create pivot tables, write conditional formulas and create charts and graphs to summarize data
    • Must be able to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and manage sensitive, confidential issues
    • Teamwork skills to build strong relationships with Field HR staff, outsourced Benefits Support Center and benefits vendors
