    Responsibilities

    • Deploy CRM tools to develop and manage new project pipeline and improve hit rate
    • Deliver product solutions in target verticals: healthcare, education, government / military, and lodging
    • Represent, promote, and educate the value chain (distributors, GC’s Architects) on life safety, security, and design solutions delivered by Masonite’s highly engineered products
    • Differentiate Masonite products on the following dimensions:  sound dampening, fire and ballistic resistance, anti-microbial, radiation resistant products
    • Leverage overall value proposition of size, scale, and product offerings for competitive advantage
    • Manage territory with business manager mindset – intense focus on price, mix volume to ensure division and territory profit and growth metrics are attained
    • Deploy and execute effective channel management competencies to increase distributor performance (mindshare and growth)
    • Develop and implement territory business plan to deliver on growth, mix, and profitability expectations
    • Launch new products in the territory with tight coordination with marketing to deliver on new product development metrics
    • Trains specifiers, architects, general contractors, interior designers, and end-users on our new products, services, applications, etc.
    • Investigates, manages, and resolves quality complaints and service issues by communicating with customers and appropriate plant and business personnel
    • Coordinates pricing and sales tactics with the Inside Sales Team
    • Represents Masonite in local trade associations and in the community
    • Submits reports (market, expense, etc.) on a weekly basis

    Qualifications

    • Must be able to travel between 50-70%. Sales territory will be: New England (ME, NH, VT, MA,  RI and CT) and upstate NY
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field plus 3-5 years sales experience in the door and hardware industry or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
    • Must display architectural specifications and consultative selling skills
    • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, and team-building skills are essential for success
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and presentation skills

    This is a work from home position and candidate can reside anywhere within the New England territory.
