    Responsibilities

    This position takes requests for order changes from the Sales, Orderwriting, and Manufacturing Departments and completes order changes in the DoorBuilder System.

     

    • Utilizes the "User Defined Path" computer program for entering order changes.
    • Understands door construction and the ability to complete acceptable requested order changes during construction.
    • Navigates Oracle on routings and bills of material.
    • Utilizes DoorBuilder application program to query information needed to make order change decisions.
    • Coordinates and communicates with the Inside Sales Representatives, Orderwriters, Engineers, IT Dept. and Production Employees to gather necessary information prior to order changes.
    • Maintains Excel spreadsheets to track order-change history.
    • Coordinates mill processes [routing, shipping, Shop Floor Interface System (SFIFS), etc.].
    • Investigates and clarifies mill questions on order changes that are currently in.
    • Enters "Invoice Only" orders in DoorBuilder, to ensure customers are invoiced properly for extra freight charges as needed.
    • Maintains order change flow charts to accurately depict affected areas for specific order changes.
    • Interprets templates, labeling, and warranty issues to ensure informed order change decisions are made.
    • Backup for Raceway Administration to enter raceways with coordinates into computer for proper machining.
    • Knowledge of Purchasing/Scheduling Dept. for ordering materials to ensure correct personnel receives changes that are necessary.
    • Knowledge of proper resources for coordination of any corrections that may be required within the ERP system.
    • Confirming back to customers that changes have been made.
    • Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Business or related field plus 3-5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 

    • Previous experience in the door industry is necessary.  A working knowledge of door construction and mill flow is preferred. 

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

    • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. 

    • The ability to work with minimal direction or supervision and manage one's own workload is essential for the overall success of this position. 

    • Must be willing to work cooperatively on day-to-day activities as part of a team and be flexible in an ever changing environment.
