  • Summary

    The Label Line is responsible for ensuring fire rated doors receive the correct labeling by Life Safety requirements to guarantee public safety.


    This is a 2nd shift position with hours of 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm daily.  The training rate is $14.02 ($13.42/hr + .60/hr shift diff).  Full time rate is $16.02 ($15.42/hr + .60/hr shift diff).


    • Match work order number and corresponding line number to the exterior paperwork to verify the appropriate fire label requirement.
    • Visually inspect to confirm that construction is correct and all machining has been completed accurately in order to apply the appropriate fire label.
    • Apply appropriate label in specific location and log the label in the appropriate label log.
    • Apply intumescent strip, cleats and installation guidelines when applicable.
    • Cover labels with masking tape for face spray doors.
    • Maintain inventory management of labeling supplies.
    • Minimize COQ impact while meeting customer quality expectations.
    • Logging of fire labels in accordance with ITS/UL standards.


    • Must know difference between all fire labels and Life Safety requirements for fire rated doors to ensure public safety.
    • Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
    • Understand how to interpret door code information.
    • Understand how to read the labeling exterior paperwork.
    • Basic knowledge of Excel, Masterpack, and door construction.
    • Ability to use small hand held tools.
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
