    Responsibilities

    The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the daily/monthly production planning schedule, shipping & receiving, warehouse management, local/plant specific purchasing, and inventory control functions. This position will lead and coordinate all supply chain functions for the Plant while partnering closing with the corporate supply chain functions to develop and implement consistent best practices across the network.

    The Supply Chain Manager will be a key member of the leadership team at the plant and will execute plans to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity (SQDIP) in a lean operating system.

    • Responsible for managing the transactions within supply chain, production control & scheduling, shipping & receiving, warehouse management, local/plant specific purchasing and inventory control. Ensure supply and demand is balanced for the Plant.
    • Lead the production scheduling department, scheduling process and development of the master production schedule. Establish and maintain the strategic and tactical planning vision for the Plant. Manages Plant MRP requirements to meet customer expectations at the most efficient cost to the business.
    • Manage inventory strategy in conjunction with SIOP/central replenishment to analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, and/or optimize customer fill rates. Lead the coordination of physical inventories. Ensure cycle count process is followed according to operations strategy.
    • Develops supply chain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment and developing personal growth opportunities.
    • Supplier performance - monitor supplier performance at plant level to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Collaborate with other departments, such as global sourcing, central replenishment and supplier quality to provide suppliers with feedback regarding performance metrics and participate in supplier selection/allocation process.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, computer science, industrial engineering. MBA a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Master Production Scheduling in an ERP/MRP environment. Production scheduling experience.
    • Experience in managing multiple departments and functions in a fast paced environment.
    • Extensive knowledge of supply chain planning/execution concepts, manufacturing and material management functions, and financial/cost account practices.
    • CPIM, SCM, or SPSM industry certification within Supply Chain highly desired.
