    Lean Experts lead the continuous improvement initiative for assigned sites, including but not limited to the deployment of Masonites' lean operating system, and execution of continuous improvement projects focused in customer satisfaction, quality, safety, and productivity through application of the lean methodology.


    • Deployment of Masonites' lean operating system, supporting businesses and sites across the company while supporting sites across the assigned region as follows:
    • Execute the implementation of the lean program across assigned sites within Masonite’s three (3) divisions (Residential, Architectural and Components).
    • Coach management teams during lean deployment in generating the continuous improvement annual operating plan in alignment with site’s core operational and strategic goals.
    • Ensure the targets for CI savings are achieved at assigned sites, managing the implementation of projects and lean initiatives with teams.
    • Manage certification plan of the lean training system at supported sites.  Reviewing where necessary and developing a “best in class” Masonite lean skills training program.
    • Support the lean training certification at supported sites, providing training, mentoring, and coaching in the lean thought process and tools to management, site champions, and site associates.
    • Define and implement effective process management systems, tools, and methodologies.  Assess the organization effectiveness in deploying and utilizing these systems and tools.
    • Acting as a change agent – thrive in a matrix management environment to drive change and influence others within the organization to make sustainable and measurable improvements in processes.
    • Provide individual mentoring and coaching to continuous improvement belt practitioners as needed.
    • Establish and grow communication channels with division leadership, site leadership, and support functions.
    • Lead Kaizen and 5S team events.
    • Leverage best practices across sites and throughout the organization.
    • Ensure compliance with company benefit reporting requirements and manage the process on a timely manner.
    • Generate monthly continuous improvement reports and conduct monthly reviews with division and site leadership.
    • Lead project execution through completion with a hands-on attitude to drive the continuous improvement culture on the shop floor.


    • Bachelors Degree  Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent background with minimum of five year experience in operations or transactional environments.
    • Lean Expert or Blackbelt certified required
    • Five (5) plus years of experience leading lean deployment. 
    • Experience leading and facilitating numerous kaizen/VSM events required
    • Must have working knowledge of TPS operating system
    • Highly trained on Lean Transformation or DMAIC /Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Project Management experience preferred
    • Experience managing Lean and Six Sigma project portfolios, delivering training, providing mentoring and coaching.
    • Prior experience providing a dynamic approach to presentation and training at all levels of the organization, with the ability to translate data into information, and concepts into practical applications.
    • Excellent Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • A successful candidate must be result driven, exhibit business acumen, have proven analytical and problem solving skills, and demonstrated effective interpersonal ability to influence without authority.
    • Must exhibit strong leadership, be self-motivated, process disciplined, and capable of successfully leading change in multifunctional teams with a take charge attitude.
    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be open-minded, and adapt to new ideas. 
    • Location: Must live in the area of an international airport, and willing to travel up to 75%.
