    Divisional Vice President of Sales

    Residential Wholesale



    The Divisional Vice President of Sales-Wholesale West directs a team of 22 sales professionals in four regions covering a geographic presence from Texas west. Revenues in these markets exceed $300MM annually derived from a combination of millwork wholesalers and one step building products dealers.  This leader is responsible for managing sales strategy for the division, partnering with key customers and aligning the sales team around key strategies to deliver on corporate sales and profit targets.



    • Develop and foster a culture of continuing success in the West Division that aligns with Masonite’s Purpose and Values.
    • Utilize sales and profit data to identify those customers, regions and products that will deliver the highest return and develop the supporting sales strategies and organizational alignment to maximize the opportunity.
    • Partner with finance and pricing in establishing optimum pricing strategies for the divisions markets based on competitive and general market dynamics with a keen focus on improving operating income in addition to revenue.
    • Lead the evaluation and financial pro forma along with finance for new business opportunities across the division.
    • Develop and implement along with the sales director’s annual business plans for the Divisions top customers focusing on driving our brand positioning of doors as an essential design element in the home and specific activities to drive a more profitable mix with each.
    • Mentor and develop the sales leadership team along with the Market Sales Managers (MSM) and Builder Sales Managers (BSM) with strong coaching skills, specific development plans, and continuing education and training for high potential performers.
    • Lead an annual Talent Review for the division and hold regular “skip level” meetings with the MSM’s and BSM’s to assure that the Directors are serving their teams effectively and consistently.
    • Drive accountability with team to utilize the complete set of digital tools available from CRM to digital marketing tools in pulling sales through down channel for our distributor and dealer customers.
    • Work with the regional sales leaders in developing and finding consensus on both monthly sales forecasts but also annual sales plans in partnership with the SIOP team.
    • Develop strong partnerships with product and Operations leadership teams and provide thorough and consistent feedback on competitors, markets, service and quality supported by facts and data.
    • Manage and oversee operating budget across the division.
    • Partner with peer sales leaders and the VP of Sales to develop annual strategies and tactics for the wholesale sales team that support our corporate strategies and goals that are clear and obtainable.
    • Participate regularly and represent sales and customer interests and needs on cross functional teams and special projects across the organization




    A proven track record of 5+ years of successful sales management in the building products or related industry with revenues exceeding $75MM annually.


    Cross functional experience in other disciplines including general management a plus.


    Formal leadership training a plus


    A four-year degree is a pre- requisite while an MBA is a plus.
