The SQL Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases and related systems. This includes the installation of new SQL Server instances, database consolidation onto existing SQL Server instances, and upgrading outdated SQL Server instances across a geographically dispersed global infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The DBA is expected to provide support for Masonite’s SQL Servers to include performance monitoring and level I trouble shooting, and will be mentored by the Senior DBA in duties aligned with administering databases and improving processes and procedures as they pertain to database administration.
This individual ensures that the SQL Server infrastructure and related procedures adhere to organizational goals of support of staff, team members and customers. The candidate who fills this position will be working with other team members, providers, and customers to support new and existing SQL Server solutions. The quality of support for these solutions will impact the business, so decorum and attention to detail are a "must”.
