    The Senior Manufacturing Engineer provides engineering support to enhance product performance and manufacturing process effectiveness.  The Senior Manufacturing Engineer works with operations, maintenance, and other support functions to evaluate manufacturing processes and mechanical systems to determine opportunities for product quality improvements, cost reduction, and equipment reliability improvements.


    • Lead efforts to design, control, and continually improve integrated systems and equipment in order to provide customers with high-quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner
    • Manage manufacturing equipment design, specifications, drawings, and other requirements in support of process improvements
    • Provide engineering support for facility energy and utility systems
    • Provide analysis and recommendations for process and equipment modifications necessary to improve existing operations
    • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with other engineering disciplines and equipment vendors
    • Support production in reducing / eliminating equipment and tooling downtime or scrap, utilizing good analytical methodologies
    • Create & maintain Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, Process Control Plans and Standard Operating Procedures
    • Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of cost estimates and drawings for modifications, upgrades, and new installations, utilizing vendors and outside contractors as required
    • Oversee the installation and start-up of system improvements and new installations


    What you need:

    • BS Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)
    • Five Years of manufacturing/industrial experience in an engineering or maintenance role.  Wood products industry experience is a plus. 
    • P.E.  Desired
