Responsibilities

This position is responsible for performing general maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, machinery and installing, maintaining and repairing equipment and machines. Must have the ability to think independently while functioning in a team environment.

  • Performs preventative maintenance, light tool work, repairs and replaces parts on mechanical equipment such as Presses, Sanders and Conveyor systems.
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Fabrication and Welding
  • Understands and applies appropriate and prescribed safety procedures and practices.
  • Must have the ability to apply problem solving techniques to complex situations, read blue prints, job data sheets, and safety instructions.
  • Work efficiently and without direct supervision.
  • Possess basic computer skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows software
  • Trouble shoot electrical systems (PLC programing experience a bonus).
  • Working knowledge of 240V and 480V 3 phase and 110 volt AC and DC.
  • Effectively communicate daily issues through documentation, emails and verbal communication with peers.

 

Qualifications

  • Qualified applicants will have a Vocational Degree in a related field and or a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
